K4-61 Haimyur Barbery and Bathhouse
Varying rumors abound about this bathhouse. Among them are that the owner can sometimes be a good source of information.
This fairly-large building of stone block is of unusual design and architecture, serves as a bathhouse. The outer walls are about 30 feet high with a 12:12 pitched roof of tile that drains towards the center of the building, where a small opening in the roof allows for rain water to drain into tile pipes that flow it to a large reservoir at the back of the building (second and third levels) above a large furnace (first level) used to heat the water. The smoke from the furnace is ducted under the second level baths to help keep them warm, before it runs up through one of several small chimneys that are spread around the outer wall/roof edge.
It is owned and operated by Aplora Haimyur, who’s living quarters are on the third level at the front of the building.
As patrons enter the building, they pay a moderate fee of 1 cp to use the open baths, or 5 cp for a private bath. There is also an area here where barber services are offered, for prices of between 2 and 5 cp, depending on what is needed. Then the patrons are brought up to the second level for the common baths, or to one of the private bathing chambers along the outer walls of the building.
No outside food or drinks are allowed into the building, but some limited foods and drinks are available for purchase within the establishment (but prices tend to be a bit on the high side).
Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.
