K4-62 Devitis Woodworking
This large two-story wood building with a tile roof (probably the saving factor when the neighboring buildings burned down) is home to a multi-generational carpentry business. The upper level has the living quarters of the family that has operated the business for years. While the lower level is their shop, with a portion of it now serving as lumber storage.
Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.

But with the waning population and demand for carpentry decreasing in recent decades, much of the family moved away from Martelain. Due to barely being enough carpentry work remaining, due to so many buildings in Martelain now being empty, the current owner, Devitis Carpenter, has also started to build furniture to subsidize his income. Only two of his five grown children, Artuk Carpenter and Howard Carpenter, still work in the family business. His wife, Aynma, suffered a problem during the birth of what would have been their sixth child, resulting in the baby’s death and her health being poor for another 8 months before she also passed away.
