Mong
These semi-nomadic horsemen are native to the north-eastern lands of the Tighláhrubha Continent, where they usually live as a nomadic culture, but in recent years (as has sometimes occured in the past for short periods of time) a strong leader has emerged who has united most of the tribes to create the Tao-Mong Khanate. They are considered either Common Humans or Mixed Humans with Nomad or Rural cultural background using the Rolemaster system, , or simply Human in most other (and less detailed/less flexible) RPG systems.
Dress: Leather is common, with the more powerful and wealthy often having some silk garments or decorations from the other eastern lands, and often decorated with horse hair, furs and feathers.
Lifestyle: Semi-nomadic, herding and foraging society that is often very warlike. Excellent horsemen, with their horses being smaller, but much stockier and with substantially higher endurance than what is found in other parts of the world.
Religion: Tungrian (eastern shamanistic belief system)
Language: Mong
Demeanor: They tend to have the appearance of being very Dour towards foreigners, but when with their own people they often enjoy telling stories and joking.
Prejudices/Fears: Nearly fearless. As such they gain a +20 to all Fear Resistance Rolls and a +10 to all Physical/Disease resistance Rolls, but as such, their starting DP is reduced by an appropriate amount equal to these “Talents” for either of the Common or Mixed human stat adjustments.
Lands: They rule over the Tao-Mong Khanate as well as expanding into neighboring lands in recent decades under a very strong Great Khan, Garngaraes Khan.
More details to come as time permits...
OOG Note: that their description and culture can be thought of as being very similar to the Mongolians and the empire that was created by Ghengis Khan.
