Execution
The board is 15 spaces wide and 3 rows across.
Each player has 15 soldiers across their line of the board.
In the Center is the Winter Beast.
At each end of the middle lines are Totems.
The players roll the three dice which have 4 sides. Two are Kala ( marked X, 3, 2, 0) and one is marked 1,2,3,4. These may be triangular or long dice. The starting players rolls and has at least 1 Kala, or more Kala than the other player.
Players roll the dice on their turn. If a Kala shows, the rolling player may activate a soldier. The numbers indicate moves that can be made by any active soldier. All points must be used for one or more pieces under player control. A "0" may be used to not move or cancel one of the other dice that player has rolled. Soldiers of the same side may share spaces. Soldiers move left to right across the start line, right to left in the middle and left to right on the far side. Then they move back again and repeat until all enemy soldiers are captured.
Soldiers of opposing sides that occupy the same space allow captures. A soldier moving onto a space that has equal soldiers at the end of the turn takes opposing soldiers that started on that space. If the opposition "defender" has more soldiers on a space at the end of a turn the "attacker" loses all pieces from that space. Friendly (Peaceful) mode leaves inactivated Soldiers safe until activated. In hostile (War) games they are not safe.
The Winter Beast and Totems: a solder that moves into and occupies the space of the Winter Beast, that player takes control of it and may use any unspent points that turn to move the beast in any direction on the board-except it may not back track (forward , back and forward again). The Beast removes 1 opposition piece if it ends movement on a space with opposition soldiers. The totems: on double Kala (XX) a player may activate a Totem. The totem may also be taken from the other player by a double Kala. The totem can move in any direction like the Beast. If a Totem is on a space where a player would lose pieces they are protected and not lost.
The game ends when 1 player has lost all soldiers.
