Dragons of the Teeth

Though the people hide and take up arms when there is a call of the sailless four or five decked Harrower galleys passing, or anxiety mixed with hope on word of the square Imperial sail, joy erupts on seeing the triangular sails of our own Dragons returning. Wether trade or raiding, it means the sailors and fighters return home to kith and kin - richer or with some good plunder.
-Adu Sal, Lighttower keeper of Erbakki

Propulsion

Equipped with one or two masts as well as two banks of oars, the Dragon is fast and maneuverable ship.

Weapons & Armament

Below the waterline is a ram, either a long metal tipped lance or blunt boarhead ram. The foredeck is frequently equipped with a triple gimbal mounted siphon and spout capable of shooting Dragon Oil upto 15 meters. A small catapult may be placed instead and jars of Dragon Oil used or jars of serpents or young giant spiders. Archers and soldiers on the deck may count as many as 90, usually with one or two Scorpion ballista - a large crossbow like device with a 2 meter bolt. The masts may be unsecured and tripped out as spars at need.

Armor and defense

The sides may be bare, or covered with hide or in a few cases copper sheet to resist fire. The ship is stoutly built with reinforcement so that it might survive a single ram.

Their principle ship is the Dragon; from Braufar, and Erbakki in the south to Brurylesbua, Wicseya and Rolanrek in the north. The back has a hatch that allows loading horses or cargo on the hull deck. Rowers have the second deck with supplies.
