Spirit Falls of the Getese river in Syllenat

This waterfall in the northern central The Fae Commonwealth is stunning in it's swirling mists and rainbows. But beyond this it is a shoal where the barrier between the mortal world and the Dreaming Mists is thin. Even nonmagical mortals may behold visions of The MIsts and near Dreaming here. Occasionally Chimeric creatures or spirits pass from the Mists into the mortal world.

Localized Phenomena

Gazing into the swirling mists and the falling water hypnotizes and allows the viewer an easy glimpse into the surrounding Mists and near Dreaming. It may produce visions of loved ones or distant locations. The visions can be confusing and potentially hazardous as they are Dream and Chimera: projections of ideas of what someone, someplace or something is. It is NOT the thing except when it is a specific spirit entity. It is what the viewer THINKS or FEELS the thing is. This can cause severe problems, especially with religious visions. How can a visitation by your God or Gods that is everything you've imagined them to be not be them? Other visions can be just as disconcerting. The oh-so real vision of a feared disaster - how can that not be a true omen? The Fae, Centaurs and Minotaur or The Followers of the Book of Raervan, traditions of the Dreaming Tree handle it better as they are conversant with the principles of the Dreaming.  And the Chimera or even spirits that cross over can present dangers - temporarily real claws and teeth, spirit possession or attacks.
