Torga History

The Core was initially colonized by the ancestors of the Torga approximately 5000 years ago in the Taurian Classical period. The Overlords ignored these new mortal colonists, mostly focussing on the Main Island of Kuan. The colonists were simple stone to copper age technology fisher folk.
Over the next thousand years the population grew and a small percent of Fae manifested. These strange individuals with unusual powers were worshipped as Gods. Over the next thousand years this became Fae rulership. Attempts to invade and attack the Overlords brought retaliation and the Fae were locked into Mirror Pockets until they agreed to serve the Overlords. Fae were designated the speakers for the Overlords and God-king rulership over the human tribes. The Overlords collected tribute and fae servants/slaves. Ephemeral humans were beneath notice.

Over the next 2000 years populations grew and resentment against the Fae and Overlords grew. Fae resented being slaves to the Overlords. Humans resented being slaves and serfs to the Fae. The fae tried to overthrow the Overlords but lacked sufficient numbers. They taught humans fighting and trained them as soldiers to fight the Overlords.

Approximately 1600 years ago the humans rose up and overthrew the Overlords and Fae rule. Iron collars were placed on Fae. The Overlords retaliated but were outnumbered. The limits of their power were quickly discovered. The humans spread out to hunt and capture the former Overlord "gods" and most were imprisoned.
The next several centuries were dominated with consolidation of the island Kingdom under the new Torga Clan and nobles. The Torga granted hands of power to their followers, designating them as rulers while suppressing those who wanted individual kingdoms.

Founding Period 5000 4000 In the tribal period early voyagers landed on the Core islands.
Taurien : approximately 2000 to 3000 T in the Classical Period.
Fae Reign Period 4000 3000 The changeling offspring of early colonists become tribal rulers under the Overlords imposed worship and offerings.
Roughly 3000 to 4000 T: Late Classical into the Shadow period.
Overlord Period 3000 1600 The Overlords take full rulership over the islands keeping the Holy Island of Kuan to themselves and Fae servants. The Shards are serf peasants under fae and occasional overlords as Gods.
Roughly 4000 to 5600 T: Late Shadow Period into the Modern Period.
Rebellion 1600 1500 Humans and outter shard fae rebel and the Great houses.
5620 to 5740 T in the Modern Period.
Island Kingdoms Period 0 200 The central kingdom wars with the shards to create a unified kingdom. -1500 to -1300 Before the Current Era.
5740 to 5941 T of the Modern Taurien Period.
Greater Kingdom 200 700 The Island Kingdom starts expansion as the Empire.
5941 to 6443 T of the Modern Period.

Imperial Period 700 1408 The Kings become the Emperors.
6444 to 7221 T in the Modern Era.
