Geliforms (Jelly-Forms)

Gelliforms live to eat and drink, especially when their food is the most fetid, bile-heaving slime there is. A small species with many wildly varying shapes and colors, the Geliforms are only very rarely found outside their home in the depths of The Swallowing Lake. But when the said lake is empty, they wash upon the land as a scourge searching for any waste and fresh water they can get their slimy hands on. Their skeletons are made of extremely dense cartilage, making them weak to slashing and piercing attacks, but nigh immune to raw force and bludgeoning. It is unknown if they possess any form of intelligence above that of a very intelligent octopus.

Stats

  • Size: The Geliform is considered small.
  • Speed: The Geliform has a movement speed of 20 on land and 25 in the water.
  • Stat Bonus: Geliforms gain a +2 bonus to any stat and +1 to another.
  • Amphibious: Geliforms can breathe both in water and on land.
  • Voracious: a Geliform may eat anything so long as it is organic, sorting any compounds into pure spheres of its base materials within its excrement. To do this, a Geliform must consume quadruple its daily nutritional value of freshwater that day. This does not avoid poisons and other effects on the body.
  • Withdrawal Psychosis: if a Geliform fails to meet its required water intake, it will enter a frenzy, and must pass a DC 10 WIS save or enter rage as if it had the Barbarian class. The Geliform must attack the nearest creature to itself no matter what until it satisfies its water requirement or makes a save at the end of its turn.
  • Resilient: Geliforms gain +2 hp to their maximum for every level they gain. They are resistant to bludgeoning damage and weak to slashing damage.
  • Blindsense: Gelliforms have 10 feet of tremorsense and 30 ft of darkvision.
  • Language: You can speak, read, and write Gelliform and primordial

Lineages

A geliform must choose its lineage and can change that lineage over the course of its lifespan, provided that the proper conditions are met. Each lineage has its own effects and strengths, as well as requirements to attain.
  • Soft: a Geliform becomes soft by consuming aquatic life for at least a week, after which its swim speed increases to 40 and its standard speed becomes 15.
  • Moderate: A geliform becomes moderate by consuming terrestrial life for at least a week, after which its swim speed becomes 10 and its walking speed becomes 30
  • Hard a geliform becomes hard by consuming minerals for at least a week, after which it looses its swim speed and gains a burrow speed of 10.
