Serrons
Serrons, less commonly known as junaks, are a large omnivorous quadruped native to Chellok. They have been observed throughout the continent but spend most of their lives grazing the understory of dense forests or wading in rivers, lakes, and swamps to regulate body temperature. The earliest human exobiologists mis-classified the species under the clade chetrachomorpha (lit. Chellokan amphibian analogue), but this error was rectified at the first LESCo (Lunar-wide Ecological Survey Conference) in 6HE, where Torgathan molecular evidence indicated that serrons belonged in the clade chelophotrochozoa.
Although serrons mainly eat leafy plants, roots, and aquatic weeds, they supplement their diet with meat by scavenging or stealing the prey of other hunters. During mating season when pairs or family units migrate long distances to breeding grounds, serrons will even hunt. Around 950 human and sugran deaths were attributable to serrons annually, 20-22HE.
