Vessen bears the name of its founding home nation on Prakyun, Vesso, albeit with the diminutive ending indicating it as the young son or daughter. This region of Chellok features wide flood plains, wetlands, and complex lake systems with winding rivers. Although Vessen agriculture is perhaps the most advanced on the moon, the region often suffers from floods and looting from scavengers and pirates.
