Chenravo

Welcome to the calm before the storm. Small wars are breaking out across Chenravo. The halflings are fighting each other, on the basis of whether they worship the God-Tree Nanove, or the God-Tree Mantowe. They are egged on and supported by the bugbear mercenaries they hire. The orcs have locked themselves into a war on two fronts, against the gnomes and their Warforged creations in the jungles, and the Tabaxi in the desert. Minotaur raiding parties assault the goblin caravans near Halfar’s Respite. The elves have isolated themselves in the north, behind an impenetrable wall. The Tritons have done the same far out on the seafloor. Many of the younger elves and tritons are leaving behind the isolationist behaviors of their parents, but don’t know the reason for the isolationism in the first place. The newest race to hit the face of Chenravo are the humans. Most people have strong opinions about them one way or another. Powerful forces are brewing, and sending the current order of the world into disarray. Balnenet (a new God) has gained a significant amount of support in the past five years, and the ranks of his worshippers just keep growing. He is nearing the power of the Six Supporters. Very few people use magic in this world, many of you will be the first major magic users that the people of Chenravo have seen. That is not to say that there is no magic. Many towns and cities have warpstones that can connect vast distances. The elves claim the creation of these stones as their own, but no one remembers their creation or distribution. The gnomes use artifice in their war against the Orcs, creating the Warforged and other war magic. Magic items are few and far between, almost all of them gifts from the elves in long-forgotten times. What will you do in this new age of conflict? The world teeters on the edge of war. What old and damning secrets will you discover? What will others do to make sure those same secrets never see the light of day? The storm is brewing, will you contribute to the chaos, or bring peace to the masses?
