Neo-Futurist Theater

Toreador meeting place

A Toreador hangout

The Neo-Futurist Theater, located at 5153 N Ashland, is a non-profit community theater known for its innovative performances in a small, black-box setting. This venue, popular among young audiences, is a significant achievement for the Toreador clan. Many young people visit the theater as a rite of passage, drawn to its mix of humor and profound themes. The theater is best known for its long-running show "The Infinite Wrench," which recently survived an attack from an unknown vampire.

In 2015, the Primogen Council designated the Neo-Futurist Theater as an Elysium, a safe haven where vampires can socialize without fear of harm. It's a favored spot for Kindred of all ages, especially Toreador vampires, who hold it in high regard. There are rumors that Annabelle, a prominent Toreador vampire, is considering embracing a member of the acting troupe, though some vampires oppose this, fearing it would disrupt the group.

As a Toreador hangout, the Neo-Futurist Theater is celebrated for its cutting-edge productions. This international theater company has entertained generations with locally written, affordable plays. Many Toreador visit to watch these performances, connecting deeply with the art presented. The theater’s reputation was tested when "The Infinite Wrench" faced an attack disguised as a copyright violation. Thanks to the quick thinking of the troupe and the Toreador’s behind-the-scenes efforts, the show continued.

Declared an Elysium by the Primogen Council, the Neo-Futurist Theater attracts Kindred from across the city. Every Friday and Saturday at 11:30 P.M., vampires gather to enjoy the performances, ensuring the theater remains a vibrant part of Chicago’s arts-and-culture scene.
