North Center

Neighborhood in Chicago's North Side District

Lakeview-North Center, also known as Lake View, dominates Chicago's nightlife scene with its plethora of entertainment options. Wrigleyville, the home of the Chicago Cubs, and a prominent hub for theater and music, as well as Boystown, one of the most vibrant LGBT communities in the country, are just a stone's throw away from each other. Additionally, the Belmont strip, located nearby, attracts teenage punks who come to shop and flaunt their style in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts. Heading west from there, you'll find the relaxed and enjoyable bars and restaurants in the neighborhoods of North Center, Roscoe Village, and St. Ben's..

Lake View may have been a quiet neighborhood for retired politicians, but with the construction of Weeghman Park, later known as Wrigley Field, it rapidly transformed into a bustling capital of the North Side. The baseball frenzy that accompanies every game at Wrigleyville amplifies the neighborhood's energy into a frenzy, making it an ideal hunting ground for vampires. The streets are filled with passionate Cubs fans on game day, providing plenty of opportunities for vampires to blend in and hunt.

Boystown and Roscoe Village are both neighborhoods with a significant LGBT community, making them potential hunting grounds for vampires who prey on marginalized communities. The energy of Boystown's high-energy nightlife and the Pride Parade in June make it a particularly attractive target for vampires who enjoy the hunt. Roscoe Village, with its quieter nature, may not have the same level of nightlife as other neighborhoods, but its events like Burgerfest and Retrofest offer plenty of opportunities for vampires to blend in and hunt without attracting too much attention.

Southport Corridor and North Center are both neighborhoods with a mix of young professionals and families, making them less attractive for vampires looking for easy prey. While the trendy boutiques and sidewalk cafes of Southport Corridor may attract a younger, hipper crowd, its slightly calmer nightlife may not provide enough cover for vampires to hunt effectively. North Center, on the other hand, with its converted warehouses and dive bars, may be more conducive to hunting, but its focus on cheap beer and rib festivals makes it less appealing to vampires looking for a more refined experience.
