In order to succeed the mantle of the Supreme Sorcerer or Sorceress, one must display the highest mastery in the arcane arts and proficiency in all aspects of magic. Unparalleled knowledge of theory and flawless practical execution are expected.

The bearer of the mantle passes it on their apprentice when they surpass them in knowledge and skill or the current Sorcerer dies.
