Witch claws
These ornate claws are worn and used by witches. As much practical as they are ceremonial, as with most things dark elves do, they are designed to serve their function while looking as beautiful and intricate as possible in the mean time.
Worn on one hand (and rarely, both), the claws are fastened by a chain or band around the wrist and worn like full-length rings on the fingers. They are made of precious metals, like silver and gold, almost always enchanted. Precious stones are often used, though not required, but there are few who wouldn't take advantage of the opportunity to encrust something with enchantable gems.
The tips are always pointed and sharpened, as cutting is the primary function of the claws, whether that's for cutting into an animal, for gutting, for slicing wood, plants, or just about anything that needs be cut. Because of that, they are usually made of cut gems enchanted for strength, but it's not unheard of them being made out of the base metal itself for practical purposes since it's easier to re-sharpen than if a gem breaks.
While some individuals tend to just use a set of full-length rings with sharpened tips instead, most still prefer the complete design as a fashion statement, with big ornate bracelets and a dedicated piece for a main gem.
While it's extremely unlikely that a witch ever go into battle or fight in general, the claws are durable and can double up as armour when needed, however lacklustre since it covers only the hands. Sometimes they are worn by sorceresses too, specifically for protection and extra threat if somebody were to close the distance on them, as well as using the encrusted crystals to store extra energy.
