Ye is the main city of Yuan Shao, and due to its significance, Yuan Shao stationed heavy troops there. The city walls are not only sturdy but also surround Ye with two layers, further enhancing its defenses. Ye is not only a military stronghold but also a commercial and cultural center. The commercial activities here are thriving, and the cultural atmosphere is rich, attracting numerous merchants, scholars, and artists. This characteristic provides a solid foundation for economic development in the region. During the Three Kingdoms period, Ye was an important stronghold of Yuan Shao and later a significant military and political center during the Cao Wei period. Its strategic location made it a crucial node in military strategy. Positioned along major transportation routes, ancient thoroughfares such as the official road passed through Ye, making it a center for commerce and cultural exchange. Ye City’s earliest history can be traced to the Warring States period when it was an important city in the State of Wei. During this time, Ye served as a military stronghold due to its strategic location, acting as a crucial passage connecting the northern and central regions of China-184. After Cao Cao took over Ye City, he undertook extensive construction and expansion projects. Ye City became the military and political center of the Cao Wei state, with many critical strategic decisions made there.
