Spice Tree

The spice tree or si ksóby (tree of spice) is a favorite garden plant and grows best in indirect sunlight. It grows white or pink tubelike flowers and bares spicy and seedy fruit.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The spice tree has been grown for thousands of years for its nectar, extract, leaves, flowers, and fruit. Dried leaves are added to meat rubs. Extracts are added to incense and potions including truth-tellers serum. The fruit is stewed and strained into a shelf-stable jelly which is used year-round.

In the last few hundred years, spice honey and spice mead has become increasingly popular.
