Cult of the Smiling Dark

The Smiling Dark cult is a group of people that believe that the plagues are a dark recreation of their lord made a demon who wishes to destroy the world. The cult respondes to this by showing the plagues no mercy and no fear. They believe that you must teach the plagues and the one that created them fear. The cult tortures all who have the plague until they know fear. Their techniques of torture can cure the plagues out of people but it usaully kills the victim in the process or they will later die to internal bleeding. The horror of what the smiling cult are a neccesary evil in their eyes and they believe that they have their god the smiling dark's blessing.

It is rumoured that this religon came from the far east. The far east was lost contact soon after the plagues came.

Most followers of the Smiling Dark like the darkness and seem to move through shadow and meld with it.
