The Rofalian Skirmishes

This was during the time the rofalian kingdom was independent of the humanists and the people of the humanists hated the people of the rofalian kingdom calling them traitors to the republic. With tensions rising the people of humanists began attacking rofalian people outright and skirmishes between the two peoples began breaking out all along the border. Both goverments tried to stop the fighting by sending in troops but due to a misunderstanding in orders rofalian troops opened fire on humanist troops this escalated into a full scale war where the two goverments didnt know what was going on with their troops on the front eventually they managed to ge the armies under control and started collaberating to stop the skirmishes.

Both sides began posting troops all along their borders to stop anything like the skirmishes from ever happening again.

Aftermath

Eventually the rofalian kingdom signed an agreement that made it so that the rofalian kingdom was a country under the power of the humanists in exchange their troops began working together to keep peace and the rofalian kingdom got to keep its autonomy.

Legacy

These skirmishes plus the deal made between the two groups has always been a sore spot for the people on both sides the people of the humanists dont like how the rofalians got to keep their autonomy. The rofalians on the other hand dont like how the deal seems to say that the rofalian kingdom is now a puppet basically.
