History

Lylos is founded by the Khartian empire in the year 2629 Bc as a military outpost, intended to be a springboard for further exploration of the Mahadorian sea.   In the year 2015 bc, the small city is abandoned by the Khartian Empire, as the empire begins to crumble and collapse.   The ruins of Lylos is resettled by Hazian settlers from Arros in the year 1413 Bc. The old ruins are largely demolished.   In the following century, Orromian settlers from the continent, including Shapeshifters who are persecuted there, establish themselves in the city and work as merchants, artisans and mercenaries. Many of them are Dragonkins.   In 1292 Bc, The city becomes a founding member of the Valcoren league, after a revolt ousted the old rulling Hazian nobility. Notably, both the Hazian and Orromian population participated in the revolt.   In the year 1155 Bc, the city is besieged and then sacked during a civil war. The city's leadership blame the shapeshifter population of the city. They are expulsed. Most of the dragonkin population of the city will end up in the Vechor Islands.   The bronze compagny of Lylos is founded in the year 981 BC   Lylos and its island becomes an independant city-state in 791 Bc, following a large war on the continent.   The Triarchy of the Free Cities is formed in the year 467 Bc as the city states of Lylos, Kalsoren and Nesser come together to form a kingdom.

Lylos finaly renounces slavery and the lucrative slave trade in the year 387 Bc, after pressures from Nesser and Kalsoren. It was the last of the three free cities to do so.   In the year 49 to 52 Ac, a short war broke out between the Triarchy and the Merchant Republic of Arba after a clash between their respective navies. The triarchy, aided by the Darnians and Tomboraans, won against the republic.
