Feylin
Feylin is an energy source that exists in a malleable solid state. It is found exclusively in and grants its name to the Feylin Mountains of Nuaira.
Properties
Material Characteristics
Feylin is a soft, silvery-blue metal similar to gallium that appears in a somewhat cubic formation. In its liquid state, it gains a consistency slightly thicker than water and turns blue-white in color. Feylin has no known gaseous state.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Feylin is soft and cool to the touch and radiates a soft blue luminescence equal to a single candle, while its liquid state increases in luminescence to roughly the candle rating of a bonfire with no increase in temperature.
Compounds
Feylin is typically used as an energy source for lighting, or as a conductor in certain electromagical devices in the Nation of Nuaira.
Geology & Geography
Feylin is exclusively found in Nuaira, located in the Feylin Mountains east of the Dunmaer Plateau.
Origin & Source
Feylin does not occur naturally in nature, but rather in trace amounts as a compound in zinc ore and in bauxite deposits, typically accumulated in a 1 gram:1 ton ratio with its parent metal.
Life & Expiration
Feylin is a stable element that does not decay, though it loses its luminosity and conductivity within fifty years of initial extraction.
