Nilrem
Arch-Druid Nilrem
Nilrem was a prominent Tiefling Moon Druid from the 5th millenium, being involved during the events of the reunification of Gotha and the crises in Albion during the 4300's.
History
Early Life
Nilrem was born from the eloping of a cambion and a human woman. His mother, Diana, birthed him and raised him alone, and in shame, in the Kirkwood forests. However, she would soon be killed by a hungry pack of wolves, and Nilrem was nearly killed if not for the Druids of Kirk coming in time to rescue him. They took him in as their own, and taught him the ways of druidcraft and their religious ceremonies. As Nilrem was growing into adulthood, he was bestowed with the gift of prophecy. Nilrem read much on the dragons of old, and learned of a prophecy of the rising of an Ancient Dragon that would scourge the lands of Eiren while the nations of men fought each other. The Crusade of Larian
Advancing into his years, Nilrem disguised as an old hermit as he came to the lands of Larian. He misinterpreted the prophecy of the Ancient Dragon and came into the mentorship of a half-orc named Org Orgenson. He taught Org the ways of the ancient paladins. While he was mistaken in the Ancient Dragon attacking Larian, his efforts in teaching Org helped reunify the nations of Larian and Halfia into the Kingdom of Gotha. The High King
In the dawning ages of the first human kingdoms of Albion, Nilrem uncovered the character of Gromherjek and realized he was the creature of prophecy. Nilrem realized the nation in danger was the splintering Albion, and thus set in motion a plot to stop Gromherjek in his traps. He raised the young Uhtric Godwinson to also become a paladin. He told Uhtric of Gromherjek and the horrors of the dragon. However, during the training, the Sons of Ormulf raided the town of Beton. He stood in defense of the town along with Uhtric, and saved his life from being nearly killed by their commander Harald the Horrible. Uhtric then was knighted by Nilrem, and he guided Uhtric into becoming the Earl of Beton. Now, Nilrem watches closely over the young earl, awaiting the day that Gromherjek would return...
