Lewen Cerason

Lewen is the co-consul of the White Mountains Pack along with Yves White-Bellamy. He was the only Plena wolf at the time of the pack's founding and was assigned to be its leader by default. He struggled with this role, given the fact he was among the younger wolves of the pack and had spent the past several years following his older brother Gwydion White-Cerason as they traveled through Europe and eventually ended up in North America. This, combined with the struggles young bachelor packs face in becoming accepted and legitimized, caused him to be a harsh and strict leader. 
It was not until Yves White-Bellamy joined the pack in 1809 that he was able to settle into a role with which he is more comfortable. Lewen's charisma is more geared toward making good personal connections with people and as a sole leader he appeared to be too frivolous a person to be taken seriously. As Yves stepped up to take up the role of forming important business connections and more traditional leadership, Lewen was able to step back and do what he does best - charm people. While the majority of people who associate with their pack may think that Yves is the true leader of the group, Lewen takes on much more than most would imagine, including cohesion of the pack as a social unit, but also in dealings with other packs abroad, especially. Yves may handle the financial connections between them, but it's Lewen who forges those strong relationships in the first place. There have been scenarios in which Lewen refused to take part that failed terribly as a result. For example, Lewen's disdain for the Bride Market among their people, while shared by his pack and many others besides, is particularly extreme and was the key reason for his refusal to assist in dealings with the Guadalupe Pack in the attempt to adopt Luca Zamfir and Esmeralda Zamfir following their mother's death. The attempt failed in part due to Yves' seemingly cold and businesslike nature and also due to that pack's more conservative beliefs. It is entirely possible that those same beliefs would have made Lewen's presence more hindrance than help, as his marriage to Bartholomew White-Davies confirmed the well-circulated rumors that he is gay, which does not go over particularly well with most of the old-fashioned packs and he struggles to forge new relationships with some of them. Those with whom he has already made connections seem to have already been aware and this revelation has had little or no effect on their dealings.

Lewen was a young man at the time of Cera's death and was still considered very much a child, though he was well old enough to be considered a man by human standards. He spent quite a lot of time travelling with his brother Gwydion White-Cerason throughout Europe as he was mourning the loss of their mother.
