Dun Fu

A blood red crystal that pulsates with power in time to the beat of a heart. Though who's heart beats with such power. When the first human came in contact with these crystals they was met with fear, fascination, and a sense of comfort. Dun Fu or Blood Crystal is a unique crystal that forms in crystal spires in the Dun Scri. These are the most sacred crystals to the Dun Haze who use them to master the powers of magic. Blood Crystals have strong effects on creatures imbued with essence allowing some creatures to be manipulated by the one who wields one of these crystals. Those who ingest some of these crystal in a powder form can enhance their own magical abilities.
Making some of the weakest in magic into a powerful mage capable of unleash powerful elemental might. Sadly as a side effect those who use to much of the crystal powder will begin the process of crystallization that will lead to them turning into a crystal statue.
Outside of ingesting the crystals, many can find use to affixing it to objects to simply use it as warding stone or those with some magic skill can cast spells directly from the crystal. There is even possibility to use it as a power source to empower different devices.

So far the Dun Fu is only found in the Dun Scri. Any attempt to cultivate it in another location has proven to be lead to failure. As it seems something unique about the Dun Scri allows it to produce these crystals.
