Prompt 13: Prend Vat

Prend Vat (Far Scout) is a profession created to scout out useful locations to establish camps and settlements to gain access to resources. This profession originally operated in the frozen waste near salire where they found good mining and hunting spots to establish resource camps. Now that the western lands are open to them they have branched out to seek resources and even places that could house ancient relics.

Back during the first migration west, two individuals made a name for themselves. One was Darius Gilmore who started as a decent enough Prend Vat, but really became something when he teamed up with a young lady who's name escapes me. Thogether they helped the great migration pushed all the way past the region of Glasswinter and established settlements in the Crimson Summit. Even mapping out couple more region beyond that were owned by a few tribes. - Story Teller

Many Prend Vat have been tasked with exploring the whole of the western lands. Many have taken up the job as it can be profitable and those who can locate a good spot can get a cut of the potential profit. Though not all Prend Vat are heard from again as the western lands is filled with dangerous creatures and nature spirits. Some have even ran afoul of the few tribes still operating in the area.
Those luckily enough to discover a decent amount of locations can find themselves set for life. Sometimes gaining right to a plot of land in a settlement or investment rights. Though those under contract can simply earn a pretty penny by waving their rights. Which can sometime turn out better for some individuals.

Qualifications

To be an official Prend Vat you need to gain a license either in the city of salire or the first city of the western lands. To be approved depends on you physical abilitiy and knowledge on surveying a location properly. All can be trained before the test where you will be teamed up with an official Prend Vat.
