Prompt 14: Great Mother of the Orphanage

The Great Mother is one in charge of the entire orphanage system in the city of Salire. With so many orphans in the city their tend to be a few of these places set up, many of them are set up in the slums. Each one ran by a mother and a great mother controls it all. She handles get access to resources for the orphanages and setting up job placement once the kids are old enough or necessary enough to need work.
She has dealing with all the companies and industries in the city as they all go to her for first time workers they can get on the cheap.

The Great Mother or Mother of the slums is one of the most important people to any child growing up in the slums. The one who will make sure they are feed and well taken care of in their young life. Is also the one who will doom you to the life of a factory worker or a miner before you can be given a chance to make the choice your self.
Doesn't help that the age they put you to work is getting younger and younger as she tries to keep the budget in the black. Funny how some people like to call her the lady in black the slums own personal reaper or ones future choices. - A Random Leech

Qualifications

She needs to prove her self in running an orphanage and dealing with businessmen. They must also have proved themselves to put the future of the city and its workforce beyond their own lot in life.

Requirements

They must be one of the oldest orphanage mothers who at least has some understanding of politics and business.

Appointment

The Nobles must give a vote if their is an empty seat for the great mother postion. They will also considered the recomendations of the previous great mother in deciding the new one. Once it has been agreed upon their is a simple ceremony performed to official introduce the new great mother to the city.

Duties

They are tasked with taking care of the orphans of the city. When the orphanage come of age they must also make sure that they are assigned a job for their skill set so that they don't become leeches to society.

Responsibilities

They must manage the many orphanages of the city, making sure that all orphanages take care of their children and find proper jobs for each one. Making sure the budget is balanced between the cost to take care of the children and the funding they have access to do that. They also must negotiate work for the children when they come of age and create additional funding from the contracts formed with these workplaces.

Benefits

They can power of the future work forces of Salire and influence with the companies that need cheap labor.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

If the funding of the orphanages are in the red for to long or if the great mother is found to be stealing funding to line her own pocket.
