Prompt 14: The Forge Master's Cypher
All forge masters work with Cyphers. Ways to hide their work from rivals and prying eyes. Some forge masters may use it for common letters in order to hide what they truly want to say to someone. When my little sis started learning to be a forge master, she would write to me using cyphers. It was fun game between us that we found enjoyable. It was thanks to her that I gained the knowledge to decipher blueprints made by forge masters. Though the think I most enjoyed was how skilled she was at hiding the key within the cypher. While most wouldn't figure it out. Someone who had shared history could easily figure out the inconsistency in her letters. - Ace CardiaThe Forge Master's Cypher is a special way to encode blueprints that is common among forge masters. Each blueprint can have a different key to figuring out the cypher. With the right key a forge master can gain access to the works of different forge masters. It is very unlikely to find the key with the blueprints, but if one could find a forge masters key they could unlock their secrets. Many forge masters use only one key for their works. While others may have a different key for each blueprint. It all depends on how paranoid the forge master is. The Forge Master's Cypher is based on the Volzian Cypher. While a Forge Master will use a word as a key, the Volzian instead used math problems. This was complicated for many as the Volzian varied what aspect of the problem solved the cypher. With the forge master's cypher the word can mostly be used to solve it. While either way would take sometime in converting it to a usable format.
