Prompt 2: Darius Gilmore

Darius Gilmore a famous adventurer from the first wave of settlers to the edge. This man built up a fortune aiding in finding suitable land for settlements and exploring ruins for the riches inside. He did such good work he was even honored by the nobles of Salire and given a low level rank of nobility.
Recently he has returned to Salire to settle down and build a legacy that would hopefully outlive him. He even found someone to train in what he calls the way of a hero.
He discovered the ruins of Debara that would be built atop of to create the most successful settlement in the edge.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born in the slums to a poor family, he always knew he had to do whatever he can to get ahead in the world. Working odd jobs as a freelancer in his early life till he impressed a black smith who was going to take part in the expedition to the west. This gave him his chance to see the new world and make it big.

Education

Darius never had much traditional schooling. Learning through hard work and taking chances. He learned the rules of the slums through living it and learned about being a bit of a blacksmith through apprenticing with one. Beyond that he is mostly self taught by learning things on the fly.

Employment

Blacksmith Apprentice:
One of his first jobs was as a blacksmiths apprentice. Their he learned how to forge tools and weaponry. It also gave him a way to leave the city and start a life the western lands.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Discovered the Ruins of Debara:
Darius discovered the ruins of Debara near the end of his time in the western lands. Here he made a killing as he was payed for his claim by the nobles. Only Taking a small area to build an estate in the city once its fully rebuilt.

Rediscovered the Vasdin Tribe:
He was the one who stumbled upon the Vasdin People on an expedition gone wrong. He was nursed back to help and grew to like the Vasdin's way of life. He ended up returning to his allies where they learned of the proud people and began communication with the people.

Returned to Salire Rich and Famous:

Failures & Embarrassments

The Attack on the Vasdin People:
He failed to save the Vasdin from the betrayal of the nobles. Ending with so many of the people dead and him carrying the weight of discovering them in the first place.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Darius's has three motivations in life. The first being survival. Being a kid from the slums he knew he had to do whatever it takes to survive in a world that felt he couldn't do nothing of worth.
His second is money. This grew out of his life as a poor slum kid and not wanting to ever go back. SO he has done what ever he can to line his pockets.
The final motivation is legacy. He wants to leave a legacy behind. Either through a kid or someone he takes on as a student. He doesn't care as long as it leads to him being remembered.
