Prompt 26: The Tale of the Brothers of Balance

The tale of the Brothers of Balance is based on the History of Zavian and Talion the heroes of the free people of Unsu. The tale is a idolized version of their journey making them out to be perfect and focused on the freedom of their people. When in truth the only thing that drove them was their desire to reunite the family and escape the fury of the Lazari. Only becoming heroes of the desires of their sister who is rarely remembered outside of the families they started.

Summary

All hear the tale of the brothers of balance destined to free the land from the binds of the Lazari.
As children they were as close as brothers who trained beside each other. Tested against the greatest warriors and beasts  to prove themselves worthy. Torn asunder they were forced to serve different lords. After many battles they grew discouraged by the treatment of their people. 
A voice called to their very soul which lead them to defect. They journeyed separately till they met once more only to journey some more. Only when they stood in front of a great tree that held the power of the spirits. One was gifted with power over the elements and the other gifted with the might of the beast of the world. They would learn how to weld these powers in their quest for freedom.
They would traverse the land finding other great warriors from the many races to lead a fellowship to bring about the fall of the Lazari. Through their strength of character and skill they faced the lord of chaos who was weakened by facing his own sins. They would achieve victory and lead their new army to face of against the cowardly lord of order who was lay low by his weakness of character.
They would traverse the lands further meeting a masked woman who lead them to the vault of the Creator. As they traveled the woman tried to deceive them both to corrupted and to see if they had the strength of character. Only once proven did she remove her mask to reveal her self as one wronged by the false gods who had taken her power and cursed another with it.
Once at the vault of the Creator the brothers would be let in as they would be met by a shell of a woman. One who had prolonged her life with cursed artifacts and magics. She offered up her life to pay for her sins and to only plead for her people to be safe for their part in her actions. With heavy hearts they accepted and ended her life. They found the one cursed by the masked womans power and learned that she was made to bring about the end of the only true god among the Lazari.
With one final journey they reached the cursed lands ruled by the lady of the fallen. A woman that wore the skin of the living, but was truly a reaper of souls who fed upon the lives of her subjects. Forced to face off against those who served her with out their souls, they would carve through to the tower of the fallen. Their with the aid of the cursed one they would face off against the lade of the fallen and witness her true form.
Through their might they would force her back through a gate leading to the realm of the fallen. Though to truly save the day the cursed one sealed the gate using their life to seal the gate and free the world from the last of Lazari Influence. Thus Freedom was born through Sacrifice as the brothers then set out to lead their people to their promised land. Saying goodbye to their brother before they set out on their own journeys of leadership.
