Prompt 7: Forefathers of the Forge

The Forefathers of the forge is the highest rank one can achieve in the forge masters organization. While apprentices serve and masters scheme. It is the forefathers who actually maintain the foundation and operation of the organization. To become a forefather of the forge isn't just about retiring as master forge master. No it's about becoming the pinnacle of skill and knowledge when it comes to development of technology and the advancement of knowledge. Few masters prove themselves to become a forefather.

Qualifications

A Forefather must first obtain the rank of a forge master. Once as forge masters they have to create many things that benefit society. Cultivate connections and wealth that can aid in supporting other forge masters.

Requirements

To become a forefather a master forge master must perform a great work that sets their place in history. Many will never set their name to history while those few who can must be honored in life and in death.

Appointment

A vote occurs first if someone has accomplished something that proves their skill. If the vote is successful their accomplishment is labeled a great work and they are allowed to become a forefather. After this a ritual is performed where they gain the mark of the forefathers over the mark of a forge master.
If the vote fails it is still possible to be appointed if two forefathers vouch for your worthiness.

Duties

All forefathers are tasked with maintaining the foundations of the forge masters. By funding operations and giving guidance to the members. Some may take a place in society that would allow them to find new recruits and show them the way of the forge masters. Others will grow their wealth to continue to fund operations. While some may continue their research and quest for knowledge.
