Shade Stalkers

Shade Stalkers is a job focused on dealing with the threat of corruption. Similar to Purfiers, but not seen in the same light. They are seen as tainted beings who have corrupted their bodies in their pursuit of power. In truth they are cursed beings who have turned their cursed powers to dealing with magical and corrupting threats. The Shade stalkers are also known for doing other kinds of work if it pays well. Though they will never take coin for dealing with any form of magical corruption. Shade stalkers are made up of diffrent races, excluding Presari who will always be more focused on the Presari Empire.

Shade Stalkers, is a job for the tainted and the desprate. A job destined for death by either dangerous abominations, fellow shade stalkers, or purfiers. A job you have no choice in taking if you seem lucky enough or cursed enough to be tainted by magical corruption. A good Shade Stalker can make good coin to enjoy themselves between the constant battles and horrors they deal with. All till they meet the end, either as warriors or monsters. - Inquisitor Phoenix.

They fight any form of magical corruption and takes on mercenary work to deal with more unsavory things.

Social Status

They are considered dirty and unsavory as many have been tainted by corruption. They are also prone to take highly dangerous and shady jobs if the coins is worth it. While most don't have a great sense on honor due to their slowly corrupting nature and how society treats those tainted.

Demographics

A small percentage of people in the western lands have taken up this profession. Most out of despration rather than choice.

History

Shade Stalkers have a longer history than purfiers. Having existed since the first descendant war. The first shade stalkers came from one of the human tribes that tainted their bodies in order to combat the Volza and keep them from harming their villages. Many of these individuals would die in battle, buying time for their people to escape the area. Others would become to corrupted and become abominations, roaming the land as dangerous threats. Once the first descendant war ended shade stalkers dispeared only to return when the beast clans began to invade the western lands.
