Shivor scrad Ding

The Shivor scrad Ding is a sacred and mysterious rite that allows a knight to become a lord of an element. These lords are said to be comparable to the Purifiers Inquisitors. Though no one knows who is stronger. Though my money is on the inquisitors, thanks to their history of dealing with dangerous threats to the empire.
The ritual though is said to be highly dangerous where only the strongest survives. That why it takes a special something to ever be worthy of being a knight. While so far all lords have been nobles, who's to say that won't change one day.

The Shivor scrad Ding or Ritual of Spirits is a special ritual performed by the Oracle to ornate a Knight of elements as a lord of a given Spirit. This ritual gives a portion of the oracles connection to the spirits to the knight allowing them to commune with their chosen spirit. Each Lord is bound to one of the four elemental spirits and draw some measure of power from said spirits. Their are normally only four Lords who serves as the leader of the knights and the main protectors of the Oracle.
While those who knights who have not been made lords, may still serve the oracle. Only the Elemental Lords have some understanding of the oracle actions. This has lead to the lords being the most loyal out of the elemental knights.

History

The Shivor scrad Ding is a sacred ritual that began under the second oracle. This ritual was performed to create four powerful warriors who were tasked with completing a quest for the oracle. It was after the completion of said quest that they gained the title of lord and was given the honor of being her protectors. This is why every new lord must prove themselves with a dangerous quest in order to embodied the elemental lords of old.
