The Corrupted

I remember the old tales of those who began to hear a mysterious voice of the woman that wasn't there. All who hear the voice is eventually enticed by it and will do whatever the voice asks of them. Many have become lethargic simply sitting there waiting for something. Others became hostile seeking to harm others as if to force them away from something. While others brought harm on to themselves as if they could feel no pain. In the end, they would lose all sense of self and begin their path on becoming the monsters that feast on the essence of the living. - Ace Cardia

Those who could not resist the call of the fallen one slowly lost their sense of self. Becoming mindless creatures that know no pain or have the concept of death. These beings serve the will of the dark voice and feed upon the essence of the living. Both to get stronger and to spread the taint.

Basic Information

Anatomy

There is not much common among the corrupted as they begin to rot from within. They start as any creature of unsu that's succumbed to the dark voice. Then begin to decay and eventually mutate as what isn't necessary to serve is rotted away. While they combine pieces of others to become more fearsome in size and ability. Some forsake physical forms and become wraiths capable of taking over the living or manipulating objects in the environment.

The Tainted

The tainted are those who have survived attacks from the corrupted and begin to hear the dark voice call to them. The slowly lose their sense of self as they gain power for giving in to the voice. Though end the end they become nothing buy a husk. As the taint spreads they begin to get paler over time and may wound themselves as they lose the sense of pain.

The MIndless

THe mindless are those have lost themselves to the voice. They mainly grunt and only talk if its the voice talking through them. They will begin to decay as they have lost most of their essence at this point and must feed on other people's essence to maintain there health. The also begin to turn monsterous as they feed on others essence and stich what they can of others flesh to maintain a physical form.

Growth Rate & Stages

The first stage leaves it looking similar to the creatures that are infected but begins to act strange and lethargic. In the second phase, the creatures gain a thirst for the essence and are able to track it. Eventually, it begins to decay and mutate as it becomes vessels or tools to the dark voice.

They can feel or sense the life essence of others. As their body decays the begin to lose hearing and sight.
