The Curse of the Lazari

The Curse of the Lazari is a myth that started not long after the fall. A myth based on the fear of the relics left by the lazari and the technology that they created. This fear deeply effected certain groups more than others as some had a better understanding of things. Though all belived in the heart of the curse which was the risk of being corrupted by ancient artifacts. Chief among these artifacts were the guardian artifacts that have been renamed the the artifacts of the sin-bound.
Curse of the Lazari is the Curse of Sin. A curse tied deeply to their relics and those who carry even a slither of their blood. Its the fear of temptation and the corruption that can occur when somone is given great power. Putting the blame on old relics is easy. In truth the individual is the problem. Give a good man a sword will give them the power to protect. Give that same sword to an evil man and he will bring harm for his own gain. Though if you were to break down that good man, shun him, spit on him, exile him, and take everything he holds dear from him. Of course he will rage against those who did him harm. But in doing so he will become the monster they all thought him to be. - Gabriel Valier
