The Heart of Ice

The Heart of Ice is a rite of passage done by the Drinchas Fit that involves hunting down a powerful beast who thrives in colder climates. The potential blooded hunter must kill this beast alone using the weapons provide. Once the succeed the are to bring the beast back to the hunters camp and share the meat with others. They on the other hand will eat of the heart of the beast after it's been properly prepared and seasoned. The blooded hunter must eat the entire heart before being proclaimed as a true hunter of the Drinchas Fit.

History

The original rite started not long after the founding of the Drinchas Fit. The original rite was created by the founder who is said to have met a powerful ice spirit after surviving alone in the frozen north. That he hunted and killed a powerful beast before being shown the power way to draw power from the beast. When Others found their war into his lands he showed them the ways of hunting and had them also kill a powerful beast.   Over time they would grow as more succeed in the rite and would officially take on the name Drinchas Fit. Making sure to perform the rite for their decedents and any who willing wanted to join the culture.

Execution

A proven hunter is given a bow and a knife, along with anything to keep them warm. They are then sent out with no food or water and are tasked with surviving the wilderness alone as they track one of the many powerful beast that live in the area. Once they have tracked down their target they are to kill it using the tools provided and whatever they can find in nature. If they succeed they are to return to the camp where the meat and heart of the beast will be prepared.   The heart would be given special treatment as unique spices that are known for their taste and their magical properties. The hunter would be gifted the heart and once the hunter finishes eating the heart, the celebration will begin as the hunter is accepted as a true Drinchas Fit.
