The Ritual of Protection

The Ritual of Protection is ritual close to the zid valen culture. Considered a celebration or a important rite. This Ritual can add protection to a location to prevent dangerous spirits and creatures from breaking in.
There is a rumor that the nobles at this ritual perfomed on their homes in case spirits or beast decide to attack them in their home.

The Ritual of Protection is a special ritual performed by the Zid Valen to protect themselves and others against the dangerous creatures of the frozen lands. The ritual is done with a few herbs and essences, along with a collection of runes. This ritual is performed on any location that a zid valen deems in need of protection.
The Rite has even been placed on wagons to protect travelers as long as they stay in the wagon. Which has saved many lives over time.

History

The rite dates back before the zid valen came to the frozen lands. They created the ritual as a means to protect themselves from the dangers left behind after the fall of the Lazari. They feared dark spirits and created a rite to protect themselves using their knowledge on herbs and runes.
They were able to create the ritual and began to perform it once a year near the village. When the Fenrians raided nearby villages the Zid Valen were safe. Though out of fear that it won't work for long they set off to reach the settlement of Salire.
Some time later after leaving Salire to start their own place, they made sure to perform the ritual almost as a celebration of their new home. Though it was far more important as they fear dark spirits and dangerous creatures. Once they were fully up and running they began to offer this ritual to the aid of others in need of protection.
