The Shattered

What can I say about the shattered? They are broken in so many ways that it's kind of sad. No one can really say when this madness set in. Some believe it is a curse from the ancient ones. While others feel its part of the taint left over by the fallen ones. Some feel it's tied to the mystic blight. while others blame the great shamans and their actions of sealing magic on those they banished.   What can be said as these individuals slowly lose pieces of their mind? Memory, emotion, reason, and focus. What they lose is each different, but something is lost. To be honest, its probably so many separate things that we simply call one thing. Though I can say there is nothing right about it. -Ace Cardia

Causes

It's so far believed to be caused by great trauma. Be it some event that happened in their past or some injury they gained in life. A high level of shattered has occurred amongst the banished deminor that had their magic sealed. Along with some warriors who allowed themselves to be consumed by their bloodlust.   What is known is that it is caused by the people breaking down and reaching an emptional point of no return.

Symptoms

Disturbing dreams are the first sign at least for the user. These dreams will occur often and eventually find their way into the waking world. Once it reaches this phase the stress from the growing hallucinations will slowly weaken their mind further. The less aggressive will begin to lose track time or parts of their memory.   More aggressive individuals are consumed by an ever-growing rage. Some lose the sense of what's real or end up trapped in a moment.

Treatment

There are no known ways to cure it. It can be managed if it hasn't reached the more dangerous symptoms. There are some who live productive lives even while they carry this condition. It's only when they have fully broken that they become a lost cause,
