Plains and Forests A vine that grows along the ground, the plant has irregular shaped leaves, and during warmer months the plant produces large yellow flowers shaped like trumpets. The flowers later turn into yellow and orange fruit with a slightly salty taste. The plant’s seeds could be harvested to extract the oil that works well as an insect repellant.
