Avalanche of Dragon Peaks

The Avalanches of Dragons Peak claim the lives of hundreds each year. For this reason, it is recommended that travelers do not travel to, or near the peak during the rainy seasons.   It was the Thirteenth King of the Charans who first discovered the danger that it posed. For a long time before the Cataclysm, the world was reliant on magic. There were many practices and areas that were looked down upon. As time progressed, more unnatural forms were looked upon more favorably. During a tumultuous war of independence from a neighboring King, Necromancy was an officially recognized and accepted tradition by the nobility. For the first time in recorded history, Necromancy was more commonly used than destructive magic among those that would someday be known as the Skull Kings.   Thirteen wizards with the greatest potential were sent to the Mountain to secure the formerly unobtainable loyalty of the Temple of the Risen Falcon, through force if deemed necessary. No matter what, those of the Temple were to be made an example to the rest of the lands.
Despite the initial success of the Necromancers, their victories would prove hollow, and come at unbearable cost. The Necromancers raised nearly everything they could, from the bottom to the top. The unforeseen repercussions of this action still affect the lands to this day. Due to the ground being loosened by the sudden disruption of the dead on such a large scale, and due to poor infrastructure many vital buildings were lost.   These buildings acted as barricades and deterrents to the avalanches. Now the snowy peaks have permanently become unsafe, and crumbles to nothing every year. The Cataclysm only worsened it, leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy of the mountain people's ultimate demise.

Manifestation

The beginning of the avalanches appears similar to small, playful clouds that appear atop the peaks. Falling snow can give the appearance of a huge, white mist or similar to that of a river of white snow and tree limbs. This all depends on what angle the disaster is viewed from.
