The Oath-Breakers Curse

The Six welcome almost all that come before them, petitioning for power. Their generosity, and base understanding of human weakness, cause them to accept most of the many failures and faults of those that try to live up to Divine expectations. Yet there remain some, whose endeavors are completely alien from the Divine task and act as an affront to the gods themselves. Through vile deeds, they bear the wrath of their gods.   Some attempt to steal the very power of these gods, by forsaking their oaths straight away. They move, using the power for their innate selfish desires without fear of the repercussions. Others abandon their oaths when they are faced with danger or resentment. Others become disillusioned by the task at hand, and in doing so quit early. All instances are punished through the Oath-Breakers Curse. The gods will not remove the secrets of magic from these people but instead will punish them in this manner.   Although the nature of this curse follows a similar cycle to that of a severe fever, with dizziness, vomiting, and weakness of breath, there are additional punishments that are given to the heart and soul from the offended god.
