The Owls Rest

During the early year, when the Shadow-Blades were still a fledgling organization, they had been assigned to keep an eye on a potential rebellion. Without many connections, the Shadow-Blades felt it necessary to have a small building constructed to get closer to their target. The Owls Inn, as it was formerly called, was built along a busy trade road, in a very generic fashion, in an attempt to blend in with the other taverns. However, despite the other competition and the tavern never being open, people would come and knock, looking for service anyway. One day there was a mistake. A newer member of the Shadow-Blades did not lock the doors when she entered, and a weary couple followed behind her. Unable to think of a way to make them leave without drawing suspicion, she took their order. They ate and left. Unluckily it seemed, they were very fond of the food. Soon lines began forming around the tavern every day, and it became impossible to not open because of the noise and suspicious nature of it all.
Surprisingly, The Owls Inn ended up aiding the Shadow-Blades in their task far more efficiently than they had originally thought it would. Two leaders of that would-be rebellion happened to visit The Owls Inn after a highly praised recommendation for the staff's services. Little did the two realize that they were stepping blindly into a trap. With their task completed, The Owls Inn was to be abandoned by the Shadow-Blades. However, business there was too good to simply abandon in such a manner. Instead, the building would be given to a friend of the Shadow-Blades to watch over. Now named the Owls Rest, the Inn offers a respite to those who travel the roads at night. It also gives the Shadow-Blades some much coveted funds and information on the outside world.
