Vegetainia

Vegetania is a bright and verdant land. The air is crisp and warm with a strong herbal aroma to it. This is the place where the Bulbian Church began and where it continues to hold power. This place is the least advanced with a religious and devout population. The nobles and clergy; however, lead rich political lives as they jockey for favor and position in both government and theological roles. Leadership in this land is split between the church and the state. The official head of state must be recognized by the church to have authority and the church must have the grace of the head of state to operate openly. While this in theory creates two balanced and equal powers, in truth most of the actual power is held by the church. The day-to-day running of provinces, villages, and lands is largely overseen by church officials with the wealthy lords acting more as figureheads. The Verduran Forest in the south is largely unexplored past the Turnip Tufts. The Taproot tribes closely protect their lands and drive back invaders with spear and beast. The taproot people of the southern wilds have grown angry at the rites and laws of the “leafy-greens”, leading to a growing fervor and a call to arms.

Structure

The goverment is currently a monarchy, currently led by King Nezemiah Cabbage lI, and his wife Queen Udorler Rosum, with the Pontifex Maizy Shuckmeir also being major power.

Culture

Vegetainia, while having a royal family, is mainly led by the church. The North is where the church holds most of the power, controlling goverment action, training soldiers, holding sermons etc. but the south is most covered in a hyper-dense forest, and the people in the forest see the church as a cancer that tricks all the vegetainian people. This has led to many skirmishs between the church and the, as they are most commonly known, taproot tribes. The battles take places on the borders between the North and forest, but after many deaths in the forests the loyalist troops very rarely step foot into the forest.
