Gummy Lizards
These reptilian lizards have evolved to camouflage their appearance to the fruit that grows in Tamper City. They benefit from hiding there, as predators are unable to find them and the insects they hunt are attracted to the fruit. To support this lifestyle, gummy lizards develop small wings in their adolescence that allow them to glide from one plant to another, although it is possible that males may lose them when fighting amongst themselves in mating season. During this time, you may find their eggs nestled in cleverly hidden nests that resemble nearby fruit.Armor Backs
A species that is visually similar to the cross between a rhinoceros and a horse, they, as the name suggests, have tough, leathery backs that stretch over large skeletal plates going down their spine. Armor Backs are often used in Diphrin nations to carry heavy cargo over long distances, while the Ciphrins breed them for their meat and skin.Caridic Bear
The caridic bear stands at roughly 7ft in height, and can be found throughout the world of Ciphrus, as their adaptive fur coats allows them to live in most climates, whether with long fur or no fur. The creatures are extremely passive herbivores, and can easily be tamed through feeding it keltau leaves, and are mainly used for tunneling and excavation operations. When under threat, the caridic bear will burrow itself fully underground within half a minute.Cybleist
Insects that infest every corner of Ciphrus, these vermin can be found in about any setting. Their size can range from an insignificant gnat to that of a common housecat, and they prove capable of duplicating at an alarming rate. While it is generally easy to kill one, their nests are often hard to locate and remove. Once they have settled, most people will vacate their homes and quarantine the area until an exterminator is available.Horrotin
An unsightly monster that can move bipedally or upon four legs. It is similar to the hybrid of a wolf and gorilla, moving in groups or pairs. The beast tends to have poor vision, relying more so on its keen senses of smell and hearing to track down prey.Common Aquatic (Fresh water)
Wyrmen
An aquatic variant of the feral cat, wyrmen are found occasionally around fresh water. It has become an endangered species, as they are commonly hunted for their fins, which are used in many antibiotic remedies. They have an opportunistic hunting behavior, complementing their venomous bites, which can entirely paralyze an adult Ciphrinian’s limb and, if not treated, entire body. After such treatment, it often takes 2-3 days for the paralysis to wear off. Wyrmen eyes are considered a delicacy by certain people, as they are very sweet, and their venom is lucrative on the black market.Common Aquatic (Salt water)
Avaltish
Both an aquatic and land creature, the avaltish is adapted to curl into a firm ball when in danger. They usually grow to about 5ft long, and will primarily roll across terrain, allowing them to travel at roughly 20 mph on land, although they only crawl slowly across the seafloor. The skin of an avaltish is extremely tough, being able to reflect low caliber bullets with minimal internal hemorrhage. The creature itself is a peaceful herbivore, but it has heightened sight and hearing to navigate both under and above water. It is possible to tame by feeding it dankin, although the fruit strangely has no effect on the brain activity of an avaltish.Tornian
Herkata Tiger
A blue tiger with a shimmering pelt. The pelt is worth quite a bit, as it's a rather rare material.Vulkor Jalm
A giant bird found around Althalia, these birds stand tall at about 7 ft with a wingspan of 12 ft. They are extremely aggressive, and will attack about any living creature that can serve as a possible food source. They are omnivores, and they will eat anything. The vulkor jalm’s talons are capable of tearing through civilian vehicles, and quite easily rip through flesh. At times, they have been reported to play with their prey, even waiting as long as several days to finish it off. They usually travel alone, but some will travel in packs in certain regions. The feathers are commonly used as decorations, and their meat is considered gourmet.Titalas
A creature resembling both a deer and an ape, titalas are large beasts that can reach 6-7 ft when mature. Their skin and bones are both thick and dense, making them strong creatures and suitable omnivores. Titalas will usually stay away from groups of other creatures, but they are otherwise hostile. Note that they are unreasonably competitive, and unlikely to ever flee.Selahktian
Tepid Buck
A small, boar-like creature that is typically found in the area between the ARD and One Wall. Tepid bucks usually stay together in small packs to protect one another while grazing. Interestingly, they are intelligent enough to have established a class system of workers, warriors, and one or two leaders. The workers are the smallest, only reaching up to the knee-high tall grass of their region, and grow no horns, while the warriors are double that size, with horns sprouted around their entire bodies. The leader will often be the largest warrior, but there will occasionally be workers who lead their packs when numbers are small. They are hunted for sport, both because they reproduce quickly, as well as because they have delicious meat.Nimrod
The Nimrod is an elusive creature that thrives in darkness. It has infested many of Selahktia’s cave systems, and is a hostile creature that attacks miners or explorers. This creature can both glide and run at fast speeds, as it has porous bones and large, collapsible wings. With this in mind, they are susceptible to blunt attacks, and their eyes are extremely sensitive to light. Nimrods often hang from cave ceilings and glide down to the floor, latching onto their targets. It has third pair of appendages which are commonly referred to as their ‘suckers’, as they stab into the prey’s body and drain its blood.Oirdal
A creature that resembles a deer, it stands at an amazing height of 7 to 8 ft. Its head is heavily armoured by an exoskeletal skull, which is sometimes referred as its mask. This skull is commonly used as a way to armour light jackets, as it simply acts as leather padding, but is also much more sturdy and malleable. Oirdals have similar behavior to deer, being mostly timid, but extremely aggressive during mating season. Normally, if you fire a shot near it, it will almost immediately run off. They will often live in harems during mating season, and small families when raising their young. Oirdals are favored by Knomnolites, both because of their importance in the Diphrin culture, but the creature’s meat contains capsaicin during mating seasons, giving it a certain spice when eaten raw.Kaliimjuro
A rare species of the hare family, kalimjuro are hares that have begun to utilize termoyl, mostly as a method of showing off to potential mates by shining multi-colored lights. They are usually no bigger than 1 ft, and have strong hind legs that allow them to leap up 6 ft in the air, or 18 ft laterally, in a single jump. They are so rare that they are considered endangered, as they were hunted extensively years ago for clumps of their termoyl vessels, which continued to produce glowing sprites around them post-mortem.Undatan
Sand Burrower
A sand burrower is an aberration with a large (eight feet in diameter), bloated body covered with a rock-like skin that is brownish gray in color. An adult sand burrower usually weighs around 500 pounds. Its three thick legs give a sand burrower slow ground movement, but enable it to pivot quickly and burrow itself deep into the ground.. With three eyes on a leaf-like stalk that moves quickly from side to side, it can quickly scan a large area. A sand burrower's primary means of attack is by two long tentacles that are laden with barbs.Sand Spirit
A Sand Spirit is a swirl of desert sand with a detectable tagonic signature. They’re very mischievous, and tend to mess with travellers by whipping sand in their face. In cases of great peril, they have been reported to guide those lost towards civilization.Deepwoods Denizens
Voris Wolf
A common sight around near the Deep Woods, known to hunt in packs ranging of 6-10. Its teeth have metallic tips along them, allowing them to easily tear through flesh, and coated with a mild anaesthetic agent that numbs pain, so as to calm down its prey and lull them into false security.Morosivitantalus
A large bull-like creature, standing tripedally at around 14 feet in height, with massive legs and an equally sizeable torso, while its arms are mostly used for picking fruit and vegetation from tree branches. Morosivitantalus are commonly located around the outskirts of the Deep Forest, but are still a rare sight at that. Their bodies are covered in a fire-retardant layer of fur, which is tough enough to scrape off blades and cushion low-caliber bullets. Despite its appearance, the Morosivitantalus is mostly peaceful, having a vegetarian diet, but it will attack if provoked. It uses its termoyl cells to expel fire around it, most oftenly as a defensive response against predators. Its fur is commonly used for fire-proof suits, and its horns are an ingredient in some highly effective antibiotic remedies.Dopple
The dopple is not a very well known creature, but it has been partially captured on some visual recordings of the forest. What makes dopples difficult to analyze is that they can run at speeds of up to 50 mph miles. The shape of the creature’s body is incredibly aerodynamic and humanoid, and it is speculated that each of its appendages have sharp edges that allow it to tear apart its prey, and our drones, with ease. Additionally, it possible that it has some control over terokon tagon, which allows it to give a corrosive quality to its limbs. Nearby Knomnolite villages have described them as looking like tall women with pale skin and rosy lips, but red lines that vein across their entire bodies, gathering around the razor edges of clawed hands and blade-like legs.Monolith
Although it is unknown if this is biological creature or a strange feature of the deeper forest’s landscape, monoliths are large masses of floating terrain with tentacle-like coils dragging behind them. They are occasionally found drifting around the outskirts of the Deep Forest. The size of a monolith can vary from a river rock to an entire hillside. Its body is a natural conductor for electricity, manipulating electrical currents with, possibly, tagon. Some theories speculate that this being was captured, and genetically mutated to produce termoyl cells. The intensity of its shocks depend on the size of the creature, with the largest monoliths practically conjuring lightning from its coils. Its skin is extremely tough, making explosives the most effective means of destroying it. Once killed, it will vibrate for some time before the electricity contained within its body discharges violently around it.Glade Stalker
Extremely elusive and rare, glade stalkers have seemingly only been sighted a handful of times in the Deepwoods. It is unknown whether or not there is only one, or many. Reports centered around it express the creature as otherworldly and even demonic. It is described as being around 8-9 ft tall, standing upright like a man, yet having continuously contorting proportions. Its skin is covered in a dense, purple miasma, which has an unknown effect. The creature’s most disturbing feature, however, are its large, beady yellow eyes, which pierce through the miasma like fog lights. As for the creature’s abilities, all that is known is that it has a harrowing scream which disorients anyone nearby, and that it potentially hypnotizes those who looks into its eyes. Glade Stalkers move at incredible speeds, appearing as a blur most of the time. Theories state that it kills its prey with its long, skeletal claws and incredible speed, which even surpasses dopples. Its name comes from its odd behavior of walking slowly through clearings in the forest.Collectors
Nocturnal carnivores whose favorite diet are Ciphrinians. This creature sleeps during the day and prowls into nearby towns during the night, taking its prey alive to its own dwelling. The creatures, while few in number, are large, ranging from 30-40 ft in height. Generally inhabiting vacant areas, such as swamps and caverns, this creature specifically dedicates its life to the hunting of Ciphrinians, using whatever methods necessary to get its fill. The Gatherer faction is known for training them to kidnap key targets and unsuspecting innocents. The Nightingale
Using organic material, this being is able to manipulate its own body structure by adding or removing organic material. It may induce hallucinations of strange nature, yet it has no proper control over this. It has been recorded making piercingly loud cries that attract and aggravate other denizens of the Deep Forest, making it a form of banshee’s call due to the certain demise of such an event.Legends
Rust
Never properly documented before Zero Day, Rust is a monster described in ancient texts, said to be a tagonic construct that reduced entire civilizations to ash. Recently, rumors have circulated about a molten titan that surfaces from deserts when the days are at their warmest, shining so bright that it blinded those who saw it manifest directly. It is hypothesized that he is solar powered, therefore much brighter and hotter during the desert day.Tne-Tro
This mythical beast, nightmarishly described in Knomnolite texts to stalk the forests of the Diphrin continent and lure its prey with hallucinations and mesmeric conversations. It is not understood how such a creature could learn the Ciphrinian language, making its existence skeptical. Old tales tell of it being as tall as the branches of high standing trees, with many tendrils that allow it to read others minds from deep in the forest. Little wisps of light tend to follow in its path, such is the way of stating its presence. When all goes quiet, and the trees shadows grow longer, it is said that a Tne-Tro is in the midst, mere moments from feeding.
