Alabeth is an unhappy female Tortle. She wears her odd, scaly hair in tight braids along her skull and neck and works as a dyemaker in the desert. She is unhappy because the terrain makes it difficult to keep her skin wet, as the public batsh of Sashir are in the noble district and finding the same luxury in the rest of the city is very difficult. She's married to an older Tortle blacksmith with a cracked shell filled in with liquid metal from her own forge. Her name is Elizabeth and she works in the smith's district. She is unaffiliated but is enamored by the songs of Kodoism and their watery tones.
