Boohe

invisible creature that is only detectable by the lantern it carries and by people with magically enhanced vision. Many say that these creatures don’t exist because they can’t see them, and that will be the death of that person. For those that CAN see Boohe, they are small child-like hooded creatures, seeming swathed in darkness until you get very close to them. (Usually you’re dead at this point).

The origin of Boohe are children who have died too young but didn’t make it to Ta, and fell into Perune’s realm. He felt pity of their lives having ended too soon and gave them the ability to live on as Boohe. They just want someone to play with usually-as most children do-but since no one can see them, they live a tragically lonely life, typically scaring off those that come near. This eventually enrages them into fits and they end up killing the next person they see, etc etc. Befriending a Boohe should be seen as a FEAT of a monumental kind.
