Frelon

Frelon is a typical city in Cornum, residing in the Livia province, a beautiful rolling hills sector of the country. This town is known for its beautiful flowers, and its polite populace. An equal mix of elves and Jaskin live here, as well as a variety of other races. Suprisingly, this town's inhabitants are quite happy, with most of them in loving relationships of one form or another. Love parties are common, as are music and dancing festivals. Tsuijizo is worshipped here, and has a large temple in the center of the city. The population is primarily Jaskin, and number over 12,000. There are stone walls built around the city, and a small number of defensive warriors (68). Though they are quite lucky to not have much experience in this vicinity.

Mialee is the lovechild between a Jaskin woman and a Grunthoran man, ending up a leanly built and lightly furred catty-human. Her parents are still alive in Northern Cornum. She tends to wear flouncy clothing in deep beautiful patterns, long open sleeves with cuffs at the end, and tightwaisted harem panets. Her green eyes see much, and flicker different colors when she does her readings. She used to wander town to town, selling her fortunes for a meager living before she met her love, a local bowyre, that she can't confess to but won't leave for the depth of her attachment. She really wants to tell him how she feels, but is afraid of his reaction. [AC 12, HP 9, Speed 30, S 12 D 15 C 13 I 15 W 14 C 11 Insight +4 Stealth +4 Passive Perception 16. Tavern: The Faint Troubadour
Owners: Lamley Ostroth, M Elf; Emmeline Ostroth, F Jaskin
Show spoiler
Lamley is a trained bard from the college in Gennetoise. He was traveling on a tour of the country, and found himself lost during a bad winter storm. Eventually he stumbled upon Emmeline's doorstep, fainting as she opened the door to him. She nursed him back to health, they fell in love, and decided to open a tavern together. Their story is often quoted by the local townsfolk as a love beyond question.
Lamley is a short elf, standing only 5'3". He has a bit of a tummy from his wife's cooking and overindulgence. Their work keeps him busy, however, and he is quite muscular. He wears simple clothing, and a fancy vest when he wants to perform. Olive skin and green eyes, dark hair. Always wants to talk about his wife, and how much he loves her. If they are in the same room, he's always making moonie eyes at her or teasing her. They don't have any children yet, but it's only a matter of time.
Emmeline is a kind woman, larger and stronger than most, standing well above her husband at 6'0" tall. Her skin is light, but you can still see several white tattoos meant for ritual praise of Tsuijizo. Her hair is thick and full, curley and blonde. She wears it pulled back in a bandana for work, but otherwise likes to let it be free. Has a moderate distaste for Humans. Has a handcrossbow and tends to be the one hunting for their tavern when needed. Loves her husband, but will be quieter about it until they're alone together.

Scribe Agency: The Ruby Pen
Owner: Zed Rowlens, M Jaskin
Show spoiler
There are many scribes in Frelon, and as such it became apparent that they couldn't all compete, so they now exist under one roof and all share the profits of the business as well as their own commission shares. Zed is simply the overseer, and bought the building their offices exist in. It is a large building, at least two stories and filled with offices, with a parlor and a delivery station in the back. This scribe agency partners with a Fukibi courier to deliver the letters they are asked to write as well. The building is made of plaster and brick, with beautiful tile entry ways and wooden details. The winding staircase will take you to the second floor, where the scribe services are available. It is a very popular occupation for those that can write quickly and accurately, and they even host a class once a year for those wishing to learn. The business is constantly growing, as their reach grows further. They may open new locations soon, to further assist those that can't write for themselves in Cornum and more likely, south into Murake.
Scribe services cost 2cp per page, plus 1cp for postage if you wish it to be mailed on your behalf.
