Gloomberg
Gloomberg... about as desolate as it sounds, it's also the home of a Malkain library established here. A good portion of the town is dedicated strictly to its upkeep and protection from the hostile nature that is southern Murake. The Fukibi behind the scenes controlling the library in return provide what the settlement needs that it cannot provide for itself.
Gloomberg doesn't see many travelers as they are off the main road through the country, but they survive, and the river closeby helps with resource management.
Demographics
The population of Gloomberg contains a mixed bag of ethnicities, but most peoples in the area are human, though regardless of race the people here are either sketchy, or arrogant. Wealthy people are those high in the trade market or those that work for the library, with few in between. As far as professions go, many work in staple trades off the local land and river, while the few locals the Fukibi trust to run their library work there.
Defences
Most inhabitants of Murake defend themselves and don't count on others. However, in this small town, it is actually the guardians of the Library that take the town's safety under their charge.
Assets
This tiny settlement is actually quite important, as it holds and keeps a Malkain library. It is the largest building in town and quite a few of the population work there, either as procurists or guards of the establishment. It should also be noted that this library boasts the work of many pirates that would otherwise be rejected from most collections, as well as many important artifacts....
Procuration you say? Well, we don't really talk about that sort of thing in Murake, just take the items and smile proudly as they say...
Gloomberg has a marketplace, and a lower place of the same where much gambling and drug trades occur.
A nearby river does help with resource management.
