Accelerator

Accelerator is a teenager and one of the primary characters in "A Certain Magical Index". He is mostly on the "Science" side of the story and is part of the "Darkside of Academy City" portion of the stories. He is a level 5 Esper and number 1 rank and is considered an "Anti-Hero" of the series. His ability is manipulating vectors, which he uses to either mute people's voices from his perspective, counter attacks or increase his speed. His abilities and high intellect give him an edge in dealing with his opponents and on occasion gains wings in his fight with the number 2 seat esper of manipulating anti-matter, a feat that is unheard of. He also has dabbled in magic to save Last Order's life in the light novels and the third season of the anime. Due to protecting Last Order (a clone of Mikoto and in the form of a young girl) part of his brain is damaged and uses an electronic device that is linked to the Misaka Network to help him function and continue using his powers. Accelerator's real name is unknown as he has no memory and despite his personality, it is seen in his actions he does care for Last Order and the ones in his life. He has a grudging respect for Touma as he is the one to put him in the direction of the protagonist. Lore: He will mostly be in Neo-Tokyo looking after Last Order and dealing with random punks. Accelerator will also "help" out Sector 7 on the side.
