Kenshin Homura

Kenshin Homura is the protagonist from Ruroni Kenshin. He is a wandering Ronin in the Meiji Era. He was once known as "The Battōsai". He uses a reverse-blade Katana and has extrodinary speed and strength. He knows the true value of the sword and life, due to his experience being a revolutionary due to his ideals and youth. Himura has classhed with Saito Hajime in the past. He winds up meeting Kaoru, a teacher of the Kamiyama school Kendo and she has an ideal of swords not being used to kill, by her late father.
Himura also is the center of plot happening in the series, from the introduction of Yahiko, a son of a samurai, he is soon a student of Kaoru's school, and Sonosuke, a brawler that fought Himura and eventually another staple in the household. Also, secondary character, Megami, a doctor that sold the dangerous drug, opium, until that situation is handled and she becomes another part of the group. Himura also might come across as goofy, but when pushed to the limit when it comes to his loved ones being threatened, he will switch to his Battosai-persoane and his eyes become sharp, and his attacks like a hurricane. It's noted that Kaoru becomes shocked when she first saw it. If you haven't caught on, Himura and Kenshin have a Mulder/Scully, deal in "Will they or won't they?" troupe.
Lore: He will be brought to this world unexpectedly and mostly be in the feuderal forest taking care of bandits and surprisingly demons as well. General batlle quote I don't fight for the thrill of it.
