Rachel Alucard
Drop Point: Pocket Dimensions / Rachel's Castle
Aristocratic, demure, and a tad arrogant with a hint of charm, Rachel Alucard is the head of her clan and an Observer of the events in Blazblue. She has seen the repetition of her world many times and can only nudge the majority of the players in the right direction. It felt like a helpless situation in that Ragna would make the same choice that wound up in his death until a change; Noel saves him from that fate and causes the loop to break for the first time. Going into uncharted territory Rachel continues her job and more as she slowly comes on the stage. She loathes the one Yuuki Terumi and the ones that lack any kind of grace and manners. Though she is brusque with Ragna and some others, she does care, especially for the one destined to go into darkness someday. She is a vampire, and knows magic, and can teleport. Possibly an NPC though special fights with Ragna.
Lore: Rachel will be intrigued with this world and be an observer of sorts. She will still aid with the grand mystery of the plot. Ben's idea: (NOTE: I could be totally wrong about the mechanics of Blazblue so this might be BS) Jeff's side story with Rachel ends with them in Rachels's living room where Rachel takes a nap on the couch. Jeff is moved by this as it's only possible becuse she's in the CJM universe and doesn't ahve to constantly focus on her own existance, less she be devoured by the void. Talking to Terra and Aqua:
Rachel: *Explains the azure and the BlazBlue.* Aqua: Oh, we actually have something similar in our world. Sounds a lot like your Azure, and there's a weapon that taps directly into Kingdom hearts' power called the X-Blade. We've had to repeatedly stop a terrible man's plans from taking control of Kingdom hearts USING the X-Blade. Rachel: Keyblade? Aren't you holding one now? Aqua: oh no, The Key, in X-Blade is actually represented by an X-shaped symbol, so they sound the same but are spelled differently, it makes it really confusing to talk about. Terra: I've just been calling it the "Ex" Blade. Aqua: Really? Since when? Rachel: Regardless of what it's called, good on you for stopping someone from taking advantage of it. If we had more people like you in our world, it may not be in the sorry state it currently is. Aqua: Actually our Keyblades were apparently based on the X-Blade. Rachel: Now that actually sounds a lot like a Nox Nyctores. Aqua: Also I was made a Master by my teacher, Master Eraqus. Rachel: Forgive me if I don't call you Master. Aqua: Oh it's no trouble really. Rachel: Though I am curious, If Sora has been the driving force behind multiple campaigns to save your world, shouldn't he be a master? Aqua: He was actually tested by Master Yen Sid, but failed his exam. Rachel: How did that work? Aqua: Well, the test was to wake sleeping worlds, Yen Sid thought in doing, so Sora or Riku could unlock a new power within themselves. Rachel: This sounds more like a quest than a test. Aqua: It was, but our enemies found out about the test and used it to kidnap Sora. It turned out ok since Riku, the King, and Lea rescued him immediately after. For his efforts, Riku was made a master though. Rachel: *takes a sip of tea and puts it on the saucer* So let me get this straight; a teacher sends their pupil out on a test, and due to the teacher's lack of foresight that test gets shanghaied by some ruffians and the pupil needs saving? One's of that mistakes then falls on the pupil for going on the teacher's quest, to begin with. Aqua: Well when you put it like that... Rachel: When I put it like that it sounds like your world lacks a certain amount of Adult Supervision. Aqua: I know, and now that I'm a master, I plan to change that. Rachel: Which would mean something if you weren't, yourself, a child.
